Hi, I’m Florian Höhn, a 30-year-old hiker from near Karlsruhe, Germany. After completing my computer science degree and spending almost 10 years in the software industry, I decided to leave my job behind and embark on an extraordinary adventure: hiking from my home to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
My Camino de Santiago journey lasted almost 4 months, covering over 3000 km. After arriving in Santiago, I took a short 3-week break before setting off for the wild landscapes of Patagonia.
In Patagonia, I spent 3.5 months hiking in some of the most breathtaking regions of the southern wilderness. From the Torres del Paine National Park to the remote mountain ranges, Patagonia offered me an unforgettable nature experience.
After Patagonia, I traveled to Portugal to hike the famous Rota Vicentina, also known as the Fishermen’s Trail, before diving into my next big adventure: the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).
The Pacific Crest Trail took me from the Mexican border to Canada, a 3700 km stretch that I completed in 3.5 months. I hiked over 2300 miles through the stunning landscapes of the western United States, a true adventure of a lifetime.
On my blog, I share my experiences, photos, and tips from all my hikes and travels. You can learn more about the Camino de Santiago, the Pacific Crest Trail, and my journeys through Patagonia.
